Summarize :
The Immokalee farmworkers is a coalition of around 5000 latin-american workers, employed in tomatos and citrus fruit harvest in Florida. Their movement is characterized by three campains : “A penny per pound”, asking the fast food to raise the purchase price of the food, “Anti-slavery campaign” for the respect of human rights and a “Fair food campaign” for the firm subscription to the Fair Food Programm. The initiative inspired the dutch government for the creation the “Fair Produce” laber, but the migrant workers are not involved in the process and do not have collective organisation unlike Immokalee farmworkers.
